I am a Web3 professional, digital identity expert, and published researcher, who is leading the product strategy of Nouns.Builder, advises EU governments on digital wallets, and reads for a PhD on digital infrastructure in small jurisdictions.
Since 2020 I have been shaping implementations of large-scale digital identity solutions and the standards that underpin it. Most notably, I contributed to the community effort of positioning DIDComm v.2 as an interoperable credential transport protocol, was responsible for one of Germany’s v.0.1 pilots that underpin the Germany EUDI Wallet implementation, and co-authored W3C DID Method specifications.
I get excited about making Web3 a better place, which led me to spearhead two European Union-funded consortia on digital identity and Web3, delivering on projects for a human-centric internet. This work has resulted in several publications in ACM DLT and on IEEEXplore, as well as contributions to the Metagov Grant Innovation Lab.
I now consult governments in the EU on best practices for fulfilling privacy enhancing technology (PET) requirements in eIDAS, and provide insights on digital wallet initiatives in the Caribbean and Oceania.
